Cranberry and Cream Cheese Crescent Bites – 5-Ingredient Appetizer

Today I’m sharing a simple, crowd-pleasing appetizer my friend Sandi made over Thanksgiving — Cranberry-Cream Cheese Crescent Bites. They use only five ingredients and come together in minutes.

Easy Cranberry-Cream Cheese Crescent Bites (5 Ingredients)

These one-bite crescent bites are filled with a creamy mixture of cream cheese, chopped dried cranberries, fresh chives and a touch of jalapeño for brightness and a mild kick. Baked until light golden, they’re perfect for parties, holidays or any time you want an easy, delicious appetizer that disappears fast.

This recipe is straightforward and addictive — consider doubling it if you expect a crowd. The combination of tangy cranberries, savory chives and a hint of jalapeño with smooth cream cheese wrapped in flaky crescent dough is a guaranteed hit.

You only need five ingredients: cream cheese, chopped dried cranberries, fresh chopped chives, a seeded and finely diced jalapeño, and one can of refrigerated crescent dough (sheet or rolls). The filling is easy to prepare and assembles quickly on the dough.

The flavors balance beautifully: sweet-tart cranberries, mild heat from the jalapeño, and fresh onion-like notes from the chives all meld into the cream cheese for a savory-sweet bite. These are especially good warm from the oven.

Cranberry-Cream Cheese Crescent Bites

A tasty, bite-sized appetizer with cream cheese, cranberries, chives and jalapeño wrapped in crescent dough. Ready in about 30 minutes and made with five simple ingredients.

Prep Time: 20 mins
Cook Time: 13 mins
Course: Appetizer
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 3 tablespoons dried cranberries, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chives, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon jalapeño, seeded and finely diced
  • 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent dough sheet OR 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two cookie sheets with foil or parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, chopped cranberries, diced jalapeño and chopped chives. Mix until evenly combined.
  3. On a clean surface, roll out the crescent dough. If using crescent rolls, press the seams together and shape into a rectangle.
  4. Cut the dough into 6 rows by 4 rows to make 24 squares.
  5. Spoon about a teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture onto each square. Bring the four corners of each square together and pinch to seal, leaving small gaps if desired for texture.
  6. Place the bites evenly on the prepared cookie sheets. Bake on the middle rack for 11–13 minutes, until lightly golden. Serve warm.
